‘Just a kid’. Tell that to the millionaire kids who made it huge before they were 18 because they had a great idea. There are iVultures all over the place these days.
She does sound rather like my Mom, who was what I call a “contrarian”. Even if you were trying to agree with her, she would get offended and claim you were agreeing for the wrong reason .
When J.J. abandoned Alex, she was simply following her mother’s example. Except that J.J. didn’t abandon Alex. She talked to Alex on the phone. She visited. She shared custody. IIRC J.J. spent seven years not even knowing if her mother was dead or alive. If I’m not remembering correctly, well, my bad. :-|

Both as a mother and a lawyer, Joanie should be fighting for Jeff’s interests. Instead, she undermines him.

Joanie, you and Rick are always complaining that Jeff never contributes any money to the household. $5000 would go a long way.

She’s known Mike a lot longer than Jeff though.

“On second thought, Mike, this kid is a moron. Send him $5 so can buy some comic books.”

It’s kind of too bad this site doesn’t have a “thumbs-down” function.
