Man Ziggy is a real macho man! Even though Ziggy needs to wear warm woolen caps and mittens to keep his fingers toasty warm he can go out barefoot in the snow! Doesn’t even need to put on socks!
Undoing definitely takes longer, especially since it’s such a downer to have to do it. It’s not so much the actual undoing but the procrastination before the undoing.
Really. Took the tree down on Twelfth Night and have been took down the outside lights on the following Saturdays. Internal Xmas decorations slowly being packed away. Winter decorations up until sometime between Valentine’s Day and 1 April.
I think this new year is not going to be that good. Lets all skip on to 2025 if man is still alive If woman can survive, they may find life is good again. Hope!
It is much faster to undo all the decorations. When I put them up, things have to go in the right places. When I take them down, they just have to be removed and put in boxes.

This is one reason why I leave my holiday decorations up all year long.

undoing

It’s likely colder for the undoing. Jan IS the coldest month on average (for those of us in the northern hemisphere).

About the same, but taking them down feels MUCH MUCH longer.

I’m still looking in the corner where my tree stands every year! I miss it!

No wonder some people wait a month to take down Christmas decorations.

If, when you take them down, you put them away carefully, you can make it much easier to take them out and put them back up next time.

As one gets older, the amount dwindles each year….

Take’m down, roll’m up, stuff’m in a box, and untangle them next year.

THAT is the reason I do not “decorate” for holidays (any).

Sometimes the soul sucking bleak just induces procrastination.

Why is it that nothing seems to fit back nicely into the boxes they got pulled out of?

It’s January. You got something better to do?
