Too bad you can’t teach the Easter Beagle to fill in for the Great Pumpkin Linus!

One of my favorite Easter Beagle strips: when Snoopy had been to a party the night before, and was sick the next morning from drinking too much root beer. Linus, I think? made him get up and deliver the eggs. He was flinging them out of the basket, scowling and with curse signs coming from him. Somebody said, “Scrooge at Easter?”

That’s the SECOND biggest egg I’ve ever seen.

I don’t remember the Easter Beagle, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a new creation!

This strip coincides with the 50th anniversary of It’s The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.

Sitting here on my couch trying my best to read the comics with my very own Easter Beagle who is very jealous of the computer tablet. Simultaneous scrolling and scratching are my new morning multitask. Happy easter!

It’s nice see Gocomics running a Peanuts Easter strip, although if they had continued to run the strips from 1977 in sequence, the Sunday strip immediately following the conclusion of the kite eating tree story arc was a particularly funny one involving Snoopy and the cat next door. Check out the strip from April 3, 1977. I hope they don’t skip this one.
