I had to read it a couple of times, emphasizing different words each time, in order to make sense of the phrase āmake a dogās breakfastā. When the image made me laugh, I knew I had it. Then I poured my first cup of the day.
Thanks Frazz and Jef. Learned a new one this morning, al las 0520. But then again, not the first time I have learned something reading Frazz. (BTW I have read every comic since day one 2 Apr 2001, twice). Thank you Jef! Great cartooning in every-way.
If the kid seems to have set a standard for her reports, it looks like she didnāt reach it this time. Next time she likely will make a better choice from the list and put more into it.
I really enjoyed students like her ā the self-starters. Most years there were far too few of them, about 1 to 4 in a hundred were naturals. Occasionally there was one that was ālateā getting to that point, but when something triggered the impulse, he/she was truly amazing to watch.
I remember looking at something I wrote and got a couple awards for when I was in school, and being shocked at the errors I thought I should/would have caught at the time.
I was in a movie, and on-screen with Jennifer Garner, in 2007. Whenever I see it (which isnāt often), I donāt cringe ā I remember very well the experience, and enjoy it just as much even years later.
Paul McCartney continues playing 60 year old songs in concert. The fans love it and have made him a very wealthy man. Iād say he has no qualms at all

You cringe because your parts change, so you canāt lie to yourself. You once played Romeo. Now youāre playing Friar Lawrence.

99% of creative types will tell you that they hate anything they made more than five years ago, and the other 1% is lying.
