When I was growing up, my parents always preferred to sit in booths whenever we went out to eat. I’m not sure why, perhaps they wanted more privacy. However, as one of three kids, I always preferred tables since they offered more elbow room, especially if I sat next to my left-handed brother. We would constantly bump elbows.
