Leland is so tiny, he makes Charlie Brown look like giant. Also nice to see him!

I have a question for everyone commenting: what is your absolute favourite Peanuts strip? Mine is from October 21st 1983. It breaks my heart and makes me smile at one and the same time.

I love how the littles call him Charles.

I’ve heard of the batter’s cage, but this is the catcher’s!

I can’t stand someone calling me ‘Charles’. Not even the wife is so permitted. A very rare few are, though. Which hearkens back to the one lady in my mis-spent youth who would never stop doing that.

Sorry Leland, but raw talent like yours can’t just go to waste. Gear up and get out there!

Charles finally finds someone who looks up to him.

That mask makes him look like he’s trapped inside a cage.

This is another reason why Charlie isn’t a good manager. What a player looks like in his equipment is irrelevant. Since Leland is about the size of Snoopy, then let him be the shortstop.

I can see why Leland doesn’t want to be the catcher.

I like the idea of Charlie Brown managing this team. I know it probably won’t end well, but he does have knowledge and experience. Plus, these kids have no preconceived ideas about him.

Might as well extend that catcher’s mask down to protect everything down to the ankles.

CB’s immense managerial skills will come to the rescue. Or will they? :D

Leland needs to keep his bat, to beat off gophers

Leland looks more like a little toy than a little boy.

Charles needs to reduce the size of the baseball diamond for these kids, find them a ball about half the size of a baseball, and a baseball bat half the regular size and ditch the gloves. Then the little guys can play ball.

This is a dream sequence, and Charlie Brown is surrounded by Munchkins. “There’s no place like home…”

Bro got his mask from an older sibling

Miguel Amaya of the Cubs said the other day he started catching at 4 years old. He probably looked like Leland.
