I predict that the GOP will still hold an impeachment vote for President Biden, even though their entire case has imploded. It doesn’t matter to them that anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows they are idiots because the GQP is not playing for you or me. Their mark isn’t the well-educated or the critical-thinking voter; their target is, for lack of a better term, the stupid voter, one who can be manipulated with shiny things and who only lets their chaotic emotions rule their lives.

It is the same reason those emails that arrive from a Nigerian Prince asking for money have spelling and punctuation mistakes. Intelligent people ask too many questions, so they want to eliminate them from the con immediately. Clever people have an annoying habit of investigating claims and going to multiple sources for their information. The person running the con can’t have that.

The Republicans are taking orders from Trump, a narcissist and con man who has a room-temperature I.Q. but excels in one crucial area: he knows what buttons to push to get Joe-six-pack and Mary-housecoat engaged. Once he places the hook, those poor, deluded folks will hand over their money and their freedom without question, and they will do it with a smile. Therefore, the impeachment will proceed without a crime. The vote will be taken and Trump will get to say on the campaign trail that Biden is an impeached President as well.
