Nikki is an odd bird, speaking against Trump while saying publicly that she will vote for him. Unlike Liz Cheney who says we could survive policies we don’t like better than a total authoritarian takeover of the government.

I’m glad Nikki is staying because she is forcing Trump to spend more money and making him increasingly angry.

As conservative (and idiotic) some of her positions are, she irritates Trump. As Samuel Jackson said about dogs in Pulp Fiction, “Personality goes a long way.” So does píssing off The Fat-Bottomed Fascist.

Haley can beat Biden, Trump can’t! Pretty simple. Do Republicans want to win?

Republicans’ only remaining hope for a win in November is Nikki Haley. She would beat Joe Biden in a one-on-one election in November and break the string of election defeats that have been going on since 2018. Remember, you’ve been warned.

Donald Trump and Nikki Haley go head-to-head Saturday in South Carolina’s Republican primary, with the ex-president expected to trounce his former charge in her home state as he closes in on the nomination.

Vicious lying Putin loving racist traitor Trump the professional criminal vows to be on top of the republican ticket.

‘I‘ve seen bigger Tupperware parties’: CPAC’s crowd size ridiculed

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) — an annual summit of far-right activists, pundits and elected officials — used to be regarded as the beating heart of the conservative movement. However, one columnist recently said CPAC has now become a “joke” given its meager attendance.

Sometimes the point of running is not simply winning.

Right now she has a voice that she’d have gotten no other way. She could be speaking out, loud and strong, against the MAGA cult, and, perhaps, drawing Independents and moderate Dems to her campaign.

“Because I can’t win” is NOT a good enough reason to not run.

Every race should be contested. Primary and general. No one should get a free pass. Especially Trump. That ^$$ has gotten a free pass all of his miserable life. He’s never earned a goshdurn thing on his own. Make him EARN it, Nikki!

From a Townhall Article by Matt Vespa – seen things like this in other places – I wouldn’t put it past the democrats and then hearing them claim it is being done to “protect democracy” which is the last thing they are interested in – anyway this is a part of the article not all it.

“The Democratic Party is considering doing the very thing they bashed some Republicans of attempting to do that allegedly led to the January 6 riot. You can’t make this up: there’s talk about House Democrats not certifying the 2024 results if Trump wins.

We’re back to this 14th Amendment nonsense, as the attorneys who argued that states have the right to remove the former president from their ballots if they so choose to do so had a terrible day before the justices this month. The Atlantic had this piece about how Democrats, without guidance from the Court, might refuse to certify the 2024 election results should Donald Trump win.

“Without clear guidance from the [Supreme] Court,” is liberal speak for ‘we know we’re probably going to lose this case, but we’re going to wreck constitutional norms because orange man bad."

The Atlantic is hardly a conservative news outlet – Here is the link to the whole article – >

The parties can nominate anyone they want to at their conventions. They choose the person they believe will win the General. The caucuses, primaries, etc, give them the information to know who that person is. But, yes, if Trump is in jail, that might give other people who have not even run in the primaries a chance to be nominated. Haley is betting that he will be in jail, a mental ward and/or drop dead by November. But, that would not give her the nomination automatically. It would be quite likely for all of the dropouts to suddenly resume their campaigns, for those who never ran in the primaries to throw their hats in the ring, etc. Trump, however, would get a lot of MAGAt write in votes in any of those three circumstances, though, including dead. Nikki polls better than Trump against Biden, but would never actually win the General because of those Trump write ins, and MAGAts refusing to vote for anyone other than Trump. Whatever, it’s going to be a three bag popcorn event.

Next month, Trump’s “hush money” case will start and the SCOTUS will soon start hearing oral arguments over the CO Federal Court ruling over if Trump violated the Fourteenth Amendment during the Capitol attacks. So, there is a chance that Trump could be convicted and or disqualified between now and the GOP Presidential Convention. If such be the case, Nikki Haley could end up being the nominee (if DJT is either disqualified or sent to federal prison but if he gets house arrest, his oversized ego would likely keep him in the race). So, if Haley wants to hang on to today’s primary in SC and hang on until Super Tuesday, more power to her! In 2020, everyone was writing Biden’s political obituary until he won SC and Super Tuesday. It ain’t over til it’s over!

She is doing a credible job of puncturing the Trump balloon of lies, as no one else in the GOP is willing to do. When the GOP falls into such disrepute it has to change its name, Nikki Haley will still have credibility. It’s not always about winning – something Trump never understood.

Adam Schiff: “California working families are facing an affordability crisis. And we can do something about it. It’s not that people aren’t working hard – they’re working harder than ever, and still not making enough to get by. They’re paying more for housing, childcare, gas, medicine, education and food. And their wages simply aren’t increasing fast enough to keep up with the basic costs of living.”

While I’m for Trump, Nikki falls into the category of those I’d be fine with as the nominee, Tim Scott and DeSantis are there too. Christie and Ramaswamy definitely are not. That said, I don’t care one way or another if she drops out or not. I certainly don’t believe the nefarious accusations of why she’s staying in. And, if she’s getting money from Democrats and the left, so much the better. At this point she’s not a spoiler and if it fills her coffers for future runs, that’s great too.

I regard Haley as a neocon Republican, supported mostly by Democrats, never-Trumpers, and what’s left of moderate Republican voters. As I see it, the only way for the party to come (more or less) together and win in November is for Trump to (I’m trying to control the gag reflex here) appoint Haley as his VP. But that well may be poisoned by her ever more vicious attacks on Trump in her desperation to keep her failing candidacy alive (or at least on life support).
