Reminds me of that cartoon with Pepe LePew and the cat with a paint stripe accidentally on her back that he mistakes for a female skunk.

Too bad the alien didn’t check the research humans have done. For one thing, it would have found out skunks are not members of the cat family. And reading further, there would be a mention of their ability to spray a foul-smelling liquid.

It isn’t Pepe Le Pew.

But the alien has no nose; how would he smell? (yeah, I know, “Terrible!”)

Wrong species.

A skunk passed about 6 feet in front of me on an early morning walk not long ago. I stood very still, and it went about its business without spraying.

I was at a campground in upstate New York when I saw a woman calling “Here kitty, kitty” to just such a striped beast. She stopped pursuing it when I told her what it really was.

In outer space, no one can smell the skunks.

We had a friend visit use from the UK. We told him “Do not pet the black kitty with two horizontal stripes.”

on two occasions i have had wild skunks walk up to me and let me pet them, and one was a mom with 3 kits

A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing…

got sprayed by a skunk when I was a kid…right in the face. It numbed my nose so bad I couldn’t even smell anything. My friend was having a conniption, and I was like “what?” Lol!

Not such a superior intellect after all.
