I’ll need to work out the details, but I just had an idea for a portable mini-fence for holding off close talkers.

Clothes talker?

Steve usually gets even closer.

It’s hard with this seating arrangement to get right in someone’s face.

Have you noticed on either movies or television programs that they stand really close to each other when talking. In the older days without widescreen TVs you could understand that, or they’d go outside of frame, but it’s not as important now. If someone were talking to me that closely to me, I rather think I’d feel a little uncomfortable – although I suppose it does depend on who that person is :)We had a guy at work that would stand close while talking. There was one day down the pub I watched him and another guy talking at the bar. The started off at one end of the bar and after a while they’d both moved to the other end – as one moved away a bit and the other closed the gap again. Was amusing to watch.

I’m betting that Steve will not remain anonymous for long.

Like sardines, they really packed them in.

Close-talkers are always amazed when I need to yawn and do rotating, upper-body stretches while chatting.

But they always back up.

It’s a good thing he’s on TicTac.

Hand out mini bottles of peppermint Listerine.

Oh gosh! I know a few people like that, and it drives me nuts! And if you back away, they just move in again. (kinda like people at a stop light who stop on your rear bumper…if you pull forward a foot or two, they move ahead too, as if that’s gonna make the light change faster? Or get them to their destination quicker??…end of rant…thanks for listening…lol!)

What a coincidence, I’m far listener.

Seems like I remember close talking being a subplot of a Seinfeld episode.
