I’d say it’s kind of like cooking. You complain about the food, you get to be the cook.

I’m afraid that I do to sheets what Earl does to towels. And they look awful…

In a purposely surreal cartoon, that exclamation point above Opal’s head would turn into a club for her to hit Earl with.

I do exactly that with the fitted sheets, every time I get a new pack of sheets, I wonder how they packed them into that little package!

They need to get rid of some.

I like Earl’s approach. I know it’s a comic. She’s treating him like an unpaid employee.

You can avoid a lot of this aggravation by only having a few of everything ….. a couple to use, a couple in the hamper, and a couple in the linen closet.

Actually, Opal discourages Earl from helping out. He came up with a different way of accomplishing the same goal. and she complains that it’s not “traditional” way. Her methods are arbitrary, not necessarily essential. The fact of the matter is that traditions change over time and so do people, so grow with it. She might find that Earl CAN be helpful, especially if you acknowledge that he’s trying.

It doesn’t matter what Earl does, it won’t be good enough.

Other than perhaps the storing and stacking of items, what does it matter how a towel or sheets look. Wrinkled or not, they are going to get wrinkled right away and you are the only one who sees them. The wife disagrees though, so fold and iron away honey.

I fold bath towels and hand towels, but I do roll bath sheets – otherwise they take up too much room and are difficult to extract.

I believe that should be even more compact.

He was obviously never in the Armed Forces. Your drill sergeant in boot camp tells you how to fold your towels, socks and everything else you have, and by golly, that’s how it’s done.

I just pile the laundry on the bed in the spare room. When the pile gets low, that means it time to wash again.

Tell her to take Roscoe for a walk!

That’s what I do with fitted sheets, They Will Not Fold. I keep those rotten fitteds on the bottom then put the nice evenly folded top sheet / cases on top.

Um … it makes it look like you have more towels?

How my nephews used to fold towels until their mother (my sister) and grandmother (mine and my as sister’s mother) got on them about it.

That is probably the tiniest laundry basket I have ever seen.

Folding towels is easy. It’s those T-shirts I can’t seem to master.

I just wash them and put them back on the bed after they are dry.
