Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson for April 25, 2024

‘Rip Haywire’ may go down in history as the world’s most confusing, capricious comic strip.

This may be the worst thing Mr. Thompson has done to Rip since the Catpocalypse! But wait, Cobra is supposed to marry Sheriff Utah(I tweeted Dan when things got really annoying and way before this potential twist.) Also, I didn’t see Breezy try to stop TNT after ‘awakening’ his alterego.

Again, this had better be a warped dream! Otherwise, unnecessary Dallas-like continuity scramble(Rip may have to kiss Breezy to ’fix" her) by Dan Thompson!

Breezy had better be a(Goldie 2.0) robot, or else Hazy deserves to leave her mom in Starlight with the cookies!

Man, I love Dick. Such great stories. Classic, timeless, and oh, so prescient.

Great to know Dan is a Dick lover, too.

Now I’m sure this is all a dream.

This is like Dorothy waking and finding Oz was all a dream (in the movie). Then she wakes again to find that it wasn’t a dream. Then she wakes again…

Jenkins must be the Rodney Dangerfield of Skull.

I like how different Breezy looks now.

This just keeps getting crazier each day. I mean that in a good way. The art and story are absolutely one of my favorite comic strip treats each day.

This macho man hairy Rip really sucks. let’s get back to the original Rip. He was much better. I really hope that this is all a dream and he’ll come back to normal with Breezy. If not, I’m dropping this one from my reading list.

I’m not expecting this “reality” to last, but I am enjoying it.

When is Rip going to escape this…halucination?

And what about Fireball? Did Breezy have a child with our hero just to make it look real?

What a Ka-reboot!

I don’t think this can be the actual Breezy, as we just saw her in the panic room unleashing (heh) super-TNT. Dream or some sort of playacting by Skull.

KA-DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING!

No doubt about it, this has definitely GOT to be a dream. I mean Breezy turning out to be an evil SKULL agent is an interesting twist, but there’s no way it can be real. Looking forward to seeing where this is going.

WILL WHOMEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS DREAM PLEASE WAKE UP???

Jenkins! I knew I could not rest until I had his blood on my hands! Slowly I turned step by step, inch by inch, closer and closer, until… I found out Jenkins was my twin brother under that mask. Bummer.

I’ll be waiting in the panic room until this is over.
