It’s funny how Traitor Trump is desperately changing his position on abortion. What’s even funnier is that Mike Pence is more upset that Trump at least SAYS that he isn’t in favor of a nationwide ban than he was when Trump incited a violent mob of traitors to attempt to HANG him!
The great irony is the repugs CAN’T not support the regressive positions of their extremists because they have so many and if they lose them they can’t possible win elections. So they have to tap dance around supporting the ban and denouncing it. Meanwhile nobody is fooled.
My suggestion is to study the governments of countries where the populace doesn’t actually hate their government, and do as they do. Not gonna happen. Repugs? Study? Nah.
Amazing how laws written a century and more ago are perceived as if Moses brought them down from Mt. Sinai. Government needs to adapt to societal changes when needed.
Critics of course were not paying attention. The court justices even mentioned they were not commenting on the law itself (most disagreed with the law), just that they were to rule on the enforcement of the 1864 law versus the 2022 law. Courts interpret the laws, not make them. They put it up to the Governor and legislature to craft a new law.
But then again there are idiots that still believe in Russian Collusion and Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation.

Today the House Rules Committee got a new chair as Michael Burgess (R-TX) took the reins from Tom Cole (R-OK). Burgess will oversee his first hearing on Monday as the committee meets to examine six bills that appear to be designed to feed the Republicans’ culture wars by denying the secretary of energy’s power to establish new energy conservation standards. Those bills are the “Hands Off Our Home Appliances Act,” the “Liberty in Laundry Act,” the “Clothes Dryers Reliability Act,” the “Refrigerator Freedom Act,” the “Affordable Air Conditioning Act,” and the “Stop Unaffordable Dishwasher Standards Act.”
Or better yet, 1862, just in time for the secession. As the Dumpian Repubs are bound to break the US Constitution, certainly the union will go with it.
If Trump regained the White House, and a Republican House and Senate placed a Federal Abortion Ban on his desk to be signed, he would sign it. I do not see him vetoing it.
It is beyond comprehension. The absolute insanity of the ruling lets each and every woman and girl in AZ know their worth to the imbeciles who “lead” us. As an Arizonan, I’m ashamed and humiliated by the path my beloved state has taken.
Donald Trump has changed his position too many times in the past to trust him when he says he won’t sign a national abortion ban. Don’t trust pathological liars who’ll say anything to get elected.
My suggestion would be that the repubs change their elephant mascot to more reflect their current thinking. A Wooly Mammoth comes to mind as more appropriate.
You would think that we, humanity, would grow and develop. It’s not my decision what my partner does to her body and it sure as hell shouldn’t be a bunch anyone who doesn’t know her. Memory, when I went to get a vasectomy, they required a counseling session with my spouse, a 7 day waiting period and her signing a legal document saying it was okay. One life, live it your best way and find a reason to smile every day.
