Will there be (off panel) shooting when Macy shows himself ? Â He SHOULD be saying âright this wayâ, right into a snare manned by Tracy. Will Tracy be a hee-ro, with no back up (as usual) ?
I guess Tracy & B.O. stashed the money somewhere after finding it yesterday, as itâs nowhere to be seen today. & apparently CropTop & crew have never seen Dick Tracy before, otherwise theyâd wouldnât be confronting B.O. with Tracy standing nearby. Or else theyâre the dumbest crooks in TracyVille, which canât be ruled out given what weâve seen of them. Still, the artwork is once again really good, & panel 3 is an effective cliffhanger. Two stars for today.
Now the question is. Did they come tooled up? Is Macy in the Hat-mobile, using the hat-phone to call for backup? Tune in again, same hat time, same hat channelâŚâŚâŚâŚ
Well, I commented a couple days ago that Tracy was blowing off any MCU work to go out to see BO based on his ESP and faith in the power of coincidence that Croppie would be there.
How low has the strip fallen when sarcasm about bad writing turns out to be true?
1-BO: Well if it ainât the suitcase folks driving their car in reverse. Or maybe in âdriveâ. I caint tell with that thingâŚ
2-âŚHowdy! If youâre lookinâ to check into the sanny-tarium, itâs closed. They got shut down after they couldnât fix me. CROPPY: NahâŚ
3-âŚWe want our suitcase and also to amend our story about it being photos we got from our house in the park. Actually, we were going on vacation and it has our clothes in it. And our car wasnât broke â turns out you _turn the key to the RIGHT to start it!_ You can tell from the way I shake hands that I get confused about left and right.
BOWLING LEAGUE: Wow Cleancut â even I canât buy that lame story. BO: Shore. I get it. Happens to me all the time. Hey Tracy â these are the folks whoâŚTracy? Whereâd he goâŚ?
Itâs an interesting legal question about ownership of the money.Yes croptop bought the clue book with proceeds from a bank robbery, no denying she is guilty of that, BUT the FSLIC would have long ago reimbursed the banks for the money that was buried, making the âfinderâ the legal owner
Croptop has no idea who Tracy is due to a generation gap within her family. As for the other two, chances are they just read the sports section in newspapers. Donât strike me as the current events type.
Sidebar: This is one reason why most countries redesign their paper currency on a fairly regular basis (for the UK, every ten years of so, or when the monarch changes, or when new anti-forgery techniques are adopted). After a few years, any large amounts that were stolen or squirreled away become either worthless, or it can only be paid into a bank (which the taxman and law enforcement can monitor). Itâs also an opportunity for a country to honour people or things for a time before moving to the next thing.

B.O. shakes hands with his left hand. I wonder if it is his secret handshake, known only to people who put money in his trunk?
RT2000 10 months ago
Why is BO and Croptop using their left hands to shake? Are they members of a secret club or something?

She doesnât have the mask on as the wanted poster shows her, perhaps Tracy wonât recognize her.
