Caddies?  The golf bags are taller than they are!

They seem to be hovering like birdies in panel 3.

Why is it that “below par” is a good thing in golf, but bad everywhere else (e.g. “not up to par”)?

If I remember correctly, Patty takes up figure skating and is pretty da mn good at it.

If Marcie, at this tender age, knows the words par and birdie, she does know the difference. I didn’t learn about golf till my teens.

A birdie is kind of like Woodstock.

In bowling, you want a turkey. In golf, you want an eagle. In football, you want a turducken.

Used to caddies some. We were unpaid, except tips. Dad a ladies tournament. My cousin and I got picked out of the pool. Carried two Rodney Dangerfield (from Caddyshack) size bags, each, for eighteen holes in August. Complimented their shots, even the bad ones, quoted distances to pins, related the slope of greens and searched the weeds for errant balls. Got two-dollar tip from each lady. Four bucks for 3.5 hours of work. Hope the girls do better than we did.

You’d think someone who love baseball and football would know more about sports!

No, I feel like both those words are used in golf. Then again, whenever either sport comes up, I just hear a dial tone.

Never invite Marcie to partake in a sporting activity. She always gets things wrong.

I lost my 9 iron on my last golf outing, fortunately I still had a 4 & a 5 iron.
