The thing about this is, the reason vampires’ reflections were said to be unable to be seen was because back in the day, mirrors had silver backings, and silver was considered a ‘pure’ metal (same reason why silver bullets work on werewolves). Nowadays, though, mirrors largely have aluminum backing (it’s cheaper and much more reflective than silver) so there should be no problems.
Unless, of course, he’s still using an old mirror, but then that’s on him.
