Seen it happen before. Arlo had no idea he was on a schedule. It’s no wonder he wakes up to find he’s behind the schedule he didn’t know he was on.

Nothing wrong with being ahead of schedule as long as you are aware of all the possibilities to base that schedule on.

I am like her. I like making places “home”. And why not just accept the nice parts, I do not like looking for drawbacks.

You know you have a tiny house when the porch has more square footage than the entire house.

Arlo has had a dream, now it’s close to reality. He’ll need to find a new dream.

Janis is all over the place lately. Time to have a sit down and talk this through Arlo. Tell her you don’t want any of this and be truthful.

They were talking about how expensive housing was there and now they are talking about building something new. Just how much money do these folks have?

A couple friends are looking at a piece of land and building a nice small house with lots of big rooms and closets. The usual. The land does have a new 3000 sf work “shed”.

I have finally ended up with the perfect house for us… it is bigger than any other we’ve had, and I managed to get things I didn’t want to part with from 3 other houses (2 houses and a house trailer) into it!, and not kept in boxes someplace!

Sooner or later, the alligators, snakes, mosquitos, oppressive humidity and hurricanes will have an effect on Janis…………..I think.

Aging is not for wimps. One of the hardest lessons (not yet learned here) is to stop planning for the expansion/elaboration/redecoration of what you’ve acquired already, when there is little if any practical expectation of fulfillment of the “new plan”.

A few things I have learned over the decades -

If I want it than either it does not exist or it will be a major let down – so don’t buy it.

If he wants it and we buy it – he will decide he should not have bought it after it can no longer be returned.

We need to rely on each other – as anyone else will disappoint. (It does leave us with a problem as we age – currently I think his younger niece will be the one to get us and our stuff to keep an eye on. In addition to her being the youngest, she is the nicest.)

Since we rarely get invited anywhere dressy – jeans and tee shirts are great to wear – both as daily clothes and when old and worn as pjs. I have 3 pairs of slacks and 3 skirts and a long skirt, which are more than I need for when I should not be wearing jeans. He has 3 pairs of trousers and two sports jackets – more than enough for him to wear if we need to dress up.

And – bras only need to be worn if one will not be wearing a sweatshirt or jacket over one’s clothing!
