A friend and his wife were sightseeing in Wales after a conference, and lost their way trying to get back to the town they were staying in. So, he stopped and asked one of the locals for directions, but couldn’t understand a word of it. He thanked the guy and as they drove off, he told his wife “I hope we can find someone who speaks English.” She said, “He was speaking English, just with a heavy accent. He said to turn right at this crossroads up here.” They made it back to their hotel.
