And how do you know that?

Made a hamburger for dinner. Large patty of meat, real cheddar, bacon and home-grown lettuce. Lacking a bun, I used two toasted Lego waffles. Sometimes my genius scares me…..;-)

It’s also Moonshine Day. Marinate those burgers!

Veggie burgers are an abomination.

I’d rather kiss the cow than eat a veggie burger.

It always amused me, that at the places I went, veggie burgers were more expensive than real ones. I wondered why I would want to pay more for a fake burger. Never bought one.

Sorry… but you are no longer allowed to use the words “Veggie” and “Burger” in the same sentence! Beef already has dibs on “Burger”

A friend’s (now ex-) wife used to make turkey burgers. They were awful.

These two need a reality check (oops!)

I’ve had one or two excellent veggie burgers. The best are made with mushrooms.

There’s a place in the South Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens called Veggie Castle, a little hole in the wall that serves some of the best fake-meat dishes I’ve ever tasted. I’ve brought the “jerk chicken,” “wings,” “pepper steak,” and “mac & cheese” from there to parties and had to show the receipt to people who didn’t believe it was vegan. The place is run by a guy from Jamaica—yes, a vegetarian Rastafarian.

My only complaint is that it’s hard to get to from my neighborhood. There was a new branch location slated to open only half a mile from here about four years ago, but it seems to have died a-borning because of the pandemic.

Veggie burgers are oxymoronic AND old news …! lol

Pity. I just had a veggie burger the other day and prefer to space them.

I found a kind that a non-vegetarian can enjoy: the ones at PLNT Burger. Must be something in the secret sauce.

If you like veggies so much, why pretend they’re meat?

we tried all the burger replacements and they just don’t cut it for us…it’s gotta be the real McCoy, or Bison burgers, or else Johnsonville braaaats, Johnsonville braaaats!
