We met the angels before, but Ms. van Duivel here appear to be the devil. Since this is the office of the Knights baseball club, I think it may be the office of the owner, who we heard before had “gone past third base” with his “friend” (May 26 gocomics .com/dicktracy/2024/05/26). I believe that Ms. van Duivel is that friend.

Art is as usual very good, but do these people know how to tell a story? Eight thousand characters are suitable for a Dickens novel, but a three-panel daily strip would need to be more focused I should think.

I get the feeling that these two don’t like other, judging from how “Ms.” and “Miss” are presented in bold type. That, plus what appears to be an angry glare in Panel 2.

And I just saw the black “squiggle” emanating from Ms. Schott’s head in Panel 3.

I think the bolded text is intentional here. I wonder what the emphasized Ms. vs Miss is intended to convey? Possibly:

Ms. – “You’re (He’s?) married and shouldn’t be having this affair.”

Miss – “You’re incapable of having a relationship with anyone.”

Anyone have a better explanation for this?
