Never hire four watchmakers to repair your watch at the same time – You will end up with a mess of springs and coils as nobody remembers where anything goes.
Back in 2002, the Toledo Museum of Art and the Frick Collection collaborated on an exhhibition under the title of Masterpieces of European Painting from the Toledo Museum of Art. If you search for it, you can find a nice essay by Mario Naves on the exhibiiton which contains interesting commentary on this painting. Try a search for the phrase “Were one to stroll through The Frick Collection” as an exact phrase (i.e. in quotes) and you should find it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I can’t get the page at the Toledo Museum website to open this morning due to unknown gremlins.
(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string Syndics, and click its link for info and links that point to more info about this large painting.
Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3331 (June 3, 2024) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to the info about this artist I used to point to here. Only work by him used here so far.
Little did the competition know that they had bluetooth speakers hidden in the ruffs and the fifth members was sitting in a corner with his laptop booted up and Google on the browser!

I loved that great Dutch Masters Presidents cigar commercial where they all sing the “Smile Brother Smile!” song.
