It’s unusually hot here, too. We are having a grill day at work today; my boss and coworker are cooking up burgers and hotdogs for the whole building, and I’m making fruit salad!
In Worcester, MA, the last day of school was going to be tomorrow, Thursday. But today is the Juneteenth holiday, and there’s a heat wave, AND they don’t have working AC in a lot of the schools — so yesterday was the last day of the school year there.
High heat up there is like when Seattle Wa. got over 100 degrees for a week. All of the shellfish at tide level died and then they had dead shellfish smell for weeks.
I remember those halcyon days at UC Santa Barbara in the 70s. To prove you were a truly liberal arts professor (or teaching assistant) you had to hold at least one class a quarter outside. :)

She’s not eyeballing both of you Wallace. Just you. Spud just happens to constantly be where you are.

Spud doesn’t walk fast let alone ( shudder) run….

Wallace doesn’t have to outrun the teacher, he just has to outrun Spud.

Spud’s the only one that doesn’t look happy about going outside.

I did that when I was a teacher. The idea that they could be marched back inside kept the class on their best behavior.

My bet would be on Amelia, not Wallace & Spud. Although Wallace did try to make a break recently sooo

Spud has to be in a panic to run, it’s happened before.

It’s 100 degrees here in New Hampshire. I am on my couch in the air conditioning reading.

If anyone would make a run for it, it would be Amelia.

She knows her class. But Amelia will be the one doing something bad.
