I think Gus believes Arlo is “Wasted Away In Margarita Ville”

Sounds like Gus isn’t willing to help now.

Arlo and Janis are on different specifications on the house they want.

This new house we’re in is quite different from the last one, which we “loved”. But we love this new one, too! People adapt, eh?

When I retired I was living in NC. Sold my home and bought in northernmost Maine. Nice comfortable well cared for home with a great workshop and a fantastic lake view. The Winter can be tough, but the natural beauty and the pace of living is so much better here. Please stay away, you won’t like it.

At there age they should not rule out a ranch house they don’t need to climb stairs all the time.

Gus’s sarcasm is quite obvious. Arlo is looking for the impossible home….or is it Janis who is looking for that.

Their wants will change once they walk through and look at twenty or thirty houses. Most likely they will end up staying at the cottage house that are in now.

Hmmm, sounds like Gus knows some people, who knows some realtors, who knows who’s selling….

In the last panel, Gus looks like George Burns.

We figured our non-negotiables. Our realtor took us to a number of possibles. We got out non-negotiables and more. We were quite blessed.

I keep trying to place the person Gus is drawn after. I keep having the feeling I know him from somewhere. It seems he is a public figure but it is just out of reach. Maybe the old age or my chemotherapy is kicking in.

Comment #2: Why are the gnats only buzzing around Arlo? Is Gus’ cigar a gnat-be-gone stick?

Wait until sees what the holding costs ( taxes, insurance & maintenance) are.
