We’re on a downhill slide

The second guy has been on the job too long. The first introduced himself as ‘the new intern.’ Of course he’s new here!

We are intelligent and we do have potential, unfortunately we often squander that potential by applying our intelligence to questionable persuits.

No relation to Marvel Comics’ Watchers, I’m sure.

I remember the Watchers from The Fantastic Four in the ’60’s. (Ya, I’m that old. Loved Marvel in Stan Lee’s heyday when I was a preteen.)

It is depressing that evolution has selected for humans to be so destructive, including to others and our environment. Evolution has selected for humans to blindly follow leaders, leading to terrible wars and such, because being part of a group confers a survival advantage to the winners.

From the looks of things Potential is a double-edged sword.

That’s right. We’re all part of some unwitting, intergalactic reality show. I’m relatively certain we’ll be cancelled any day now…

These observers don’t carry their brains around in bowls.

We have more potential than people that sit around and watch us all day.
