Taking a break from my VengyTales version of this story. Trying to bring excitement and fun to the story hurts my brain!

May Sam not have his face buried in that “hero” when the action(?) starts.

Not sure what “detectives” Gabriel is talking about. Why would Borden hire private eyes? He already knows who’s blackmailing him. The police? Even though he’s right, Gabriel has to know they have nothing to worry about, so far they haven’t done anything illegal in public. He even met his latest victim in a public place. Hope this story starts making sense soon…

The art continues to be impressive.

1-GARGANTUAN: Do I look bigger to you today? I’ve had to wear my “fat suit”. I may’ve put on a few pounds – in the shoulder area oddly enough.

2-SARAH: Really? Not at all…Slim. But I’ll have the doorways widened again – you know – just in case we wanna move furniture or something.

3-SAM: URRRPP! This Binocular Flask has got me through a lot of boring stakeouts. Yummm…did somebody say steak! I could go for a steak hoagie right now. I’ll just nip away a few minutes – ain’t nothing happening here anyway…

Well, I guess the boss didn’t get where he is by just being a sleazy blackmailer. Sam is on the case after having his pastrami. Artwork is top notch again.

All well said! I can only add again, Charles’ art work adds wonders to the story line. Bravo Charles, bravo!

Looks like standard fictional cop procedure to me. The open tail did what it was supposed to do. Now it’s time for actual surveillance.
