P.2. She looks like a demure 5 year old. How can ANYONE so cute be so evil ? :-O  But then she was shown snarling only recently. Her Janus personality shines so exquisitely. Is that Dick, in his Joe Cool or secret spy outfit ?

3 facts -1 - 2 sets of prints … both men’s. Presumably from Felipe & the police officer who entered with Juana. 2 — How did Celestine know what Juana told the police? 3 — this boring story has gone on long enough. Just arrest Celestine & end it already.

Point one: The lack of any other suspects in this story.

Tracy, this is when you whip out the Miranda rights, or the Argentine equivalent, anyway.

1- DT: So a guy and his goat are walking across the desert and the guy – we’ll call him Eff Ess – tries to get “randy” with the goat but the goat turns his head and bites Eff Ess on the ear.

2- CELESTINE?: Oh my! DT: I’m not done. Eff Ess tries it the next night and the goat turns his head and bites his OTHER ear. On the third night Eff Ess encounters a parched but beautiful woman lost in the desert. She’s so grateful to be saved that she promised to do anything for Eff Ess – ANYTHING! whereupon, Eff Ess says:

3-: “Great! Hold this dam goat’s head! EENSPECTOR: Uh…good one?

With that question, She suddenly becomes very delicately demure………

“1. We’ve only talked to three people.2. She’s the one who was mad.3. We only have 3 days to wrap this up.

Take her away!

So only a single character in the story, no others with possible motives, no intrigue, no guessing, no red herrings. The worst Minit Mystery ever!

he has his thumb up, but holding the peace sign backwards like that is how you give the finger in the UK – that’s why Spike was always doing that on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Now Tracy is channeling Charlie Chan, Nero Wolfe, and, all those detectives who gather every one around to do the big reveal.

Neal and Still, you both have it right. The way is additive thumb is 1, + Index =2, + middle =3, + ring =4, + pinkie =5,+ thumb on other hand =6, etc. Most people since they are right handed will start with that hand. A few of us honest lefties, start with the left and. Have yet to see someone so dexterous with their toes that they can count from 11-20! ;-)

I love the first panel and the German 3.

He’s holding up three in the sign language and European way, using the thumb as one of the digits. Try it, counting to five on your fingers — works much better than the traditional American way.

So much commentary about finger-counting!

The big question is: do we, the readers, now have all the information we need to solve the mystery ourselves? Maybe lurking in subtle visual details of the preceding strips?
