Does that brave and chivalrous gentleman have his feet on backwards? No, I guess he’s showing that accursed cacodemon his backside, perhaps trying to lure it into a blundrous misstep.
[I think I just made up a word there. I haven’t checked the dictionary, so I’m not sure.]
The trouble with cacodemons is that they are so greedy. She would be willing to let it have perhaps an eighth of her trug for nothing. Or if the cacodemon had something useful like fenugreek or cumin, perhaps they could make a trade. But no, it just wants to take everything without giving anything in return.
Our hero is tragically misguided, to say nothing of misfooted. It’s quite obvious that the “fair damsel” stole that trug of thimbleberries from the cacodemon.
I don’t know. I think he just needs a hug. He also needs his nails trimmed. An ingrown toenail can cause one to be grumpy. Give him a mani/pedi and he’ll be your friend for life.

Cacodemons and thimbleberries have no intersections between their respective ranges.

As it turns out, he and that two-toothed cacodemon have been running this scam for years.

The cacodemon was actually his cousin Larry, who only showed up when there was damsels with especially full trugs.

In a fit of hysteria, Queen Margaret finally sees Richard for what he truly is —
Richard III (Duke of Gloucester). …”I am too childish-foolish for this world.”
Queen Margaret. “Hie thee to hell for shame, and leave the world,
Thou cacodemon! there thy kingdom is!”

I believe that “cacodemon” is an unfair characterization. We don’t actually know if the demon is evil.
