    There were lots of things to do: like watching the grass grow and for paint to dry. For real excitement waiting and watching for water to boil.

    That person must be well over a hundred. My dad is 91, and his folks had a television when he was still in high school. Of course, before that, they sat around the radio as a family, and they had lots of books. But yes, trees are good. Even my kids, who are still in their 20s, grew up climbing trees.
