Is the perfect car only for one day or for many years? Compared to one day with even the best person you can think of, I’d rather have whatever lasts longest.
I’ll take the special day. You don’t need the perfect car. You just need A car (one that runs). But spending a special day with the one you love? That’s a memory that’ll never die.
I know, I know, I comment on it every time this happens! Why don’t we see more of Estella Dank in this comic? When I was a teenager, my life revolved more around my girlfriend, than the morons at my job, or how many dozens of Empanadas I cheated my family out of.. etc. Just saying …..
Before I’d answer this question, I’d require that the parameters be clarified: “So, who would grant me that perfect car? A magical genie? And would that wish include the costs of gas and insurance, in perpetuity, not to mention maintenance — or would a perfect car never break down or need gas? Because if I couldn’t maintain the car or pay the expenses, there wouldn’t be much point in wishing for it. But if I opted for the car, you could still grant me that perfect day anytime, right? So I’m not sure where these two things have to be mutually exclusive . . .”

I’d take the car because every day with you is special.

Loved Baldo’s deer-the-headlights realization of the trick question.

Wouldn’t his own car facilitate having a special day together?

How many times have women posed that question to men…..

Baldo is too inexperienced with women to know what answer he has to give without hesitation. Even if it’s not truthful.

Not necessarily tricky, just female. No complaints at all, just an observation.

Perfect day with you would be going for a drive in my perfect car together, so there you go.

I think he got the answer right, but it was close.
