so in other words, it’s his turn to do the dishes… I’m stuck doing it everyday. But at least I’ve been getting help putting some of the dishes away which has been nice, especially since they’ve been getting dish crazy more often lately. :J

Kewpie should be right there smelling the pie! My dog wouldn’t be elsewhere if I were baking.

This one is chock full of good stuff! Knowing Gladys’s culinary prowess as we do, her baking a pie is more likely to be an extra poke rather than an olive branch. “Uh oh, the recipe said sugar, not salt.” I love Mama’s expression in the last panel, “That’s my girl – never admit defeat.” Emphasized by the bada bing bada boom of the coffee puff!

A pie is nice but there is no meaning that can be conveyed by cooking or baking. An apology, however, can convey so many meanings. If one can’t convey an apology to those they love for an actual wrong they committed, how can we as a society continue to exist for committing wrongs against our neighbors or our neighbors committing wrongs against us. That extends out to nations forgiving nations. It’s not easy at times, but is necessary. We have to control our pride and not be controlled by it. It’s the greatest of all sins…..

Brutus will enjoy the pie as long as you don’t burn it, Gladys.

She’s not wrong. Most men will accept baked goods in lieu of apology for just about anything.
