Is the Wiz being sarcastic or not? His statement is positive but his face looks angry. He can have cruel thoughts and the rain could have given him some evil inspiration.
One night when I was a senior in college, I had an intensely emotional hour supporting and comforting my roommate through a personal crisis. Afterward I was so wound up that I had to get outside, even though it was after midnight, raining, and I was only wearing a housecoat and nothing else. Out I went into the rain and began wandering around the campus. I was immediately drenched to my skin, and my bare feet were so cold they ached, but I was so full of adrenaline that I couldn’t keep still. Eventually the exercised warmed me up, even my feet, and I started to process the emotions that had driven me outside. Then I began singing; I even made up two new verses to a song I’d written the year before (“…the rain about me’s falling, and my song joins its on high …” I finally ended up splashing happily in a little muddy streamlet, before wearily but oddly content making my way back to the dorm (as a senior, I had a key). I have to agree with the Wiz: “Nothing like a little time outdoors to lift your mood.”
Dunno… coming in out of a cold rain to a cheery warm fire sounds pretty darned good to The Count. Just add hot cocoa and a good book and it doesn’t get any better than that.
Considering that this morning Hurricane Milton is bearing down on me with the likelihood of up to Cat 2 winds in less than a couple of days, as far as I’m concerned, the whole “outside” can bugger off!

There’s nothing like coming back in from the rain to lift your mood.

If your mood is low enough, a rainy day can lift it.

I think getting soaked by the rain tells it all.

There’s sun up there somewhere, Wiz. You’ll see it in another few months.

Shouldn’t Blanche’s chair FACE the fire to get the benefit of the heat?

IIRC, Wiz can change/control the weather. Maybe his wand needs a recharge. Or he likes standing in the rain.

I like standing in the rain. I also like having a functional cellphone. Decisions, decisions…

Oh, Wiz. For a wizard, not very bright. It’s coming IN from the rain to the warm fireside that makes it all worth while!
