It couldn’t be “barely noticeable” is the ref noticed it. And if they noticed it, the defender(s) did to and tried to adjust – which does affect the play.
Well if you think we made a mistake on this one, we can go and throw one for PI on the next possesion, then if someones upset about that we can follow it up with a roughing the passer, and if it gets too much, and you guys need a break or coffee, well find something to replay….
Texas got their “Welcome to the SEC” officiating moment on Saturday when they got a completely egregious pass interference penalty that wiped out an interception returned to the 9. With Alabama losing earlier in the day, Georgia had to win to keep the number of 1-loss teams higher than 2-loss teams. Welcome to the rigged SEC, Texas.

This is more so in college football instead of professional football. In professional football it depends on the day of the week.

This is why the experts always say, it’s the refs who are the ones the gamblers really want to buy off.

Nothing like arguing with the referee to brighten up your day.

Does anyone really understand the new NFL illegal shift/formation rules? Talk about over-complication!

Mets,Jets, and Giants all lose in tehesame day.
If there wasn’t a shortage of cliffs in Midtown Manhattan a lot of people would be jumping off them.
Only good news is that Watson of Cleveland is probably out for the season

I was counting the times Daniel Jones got sacked. But I ran out of fingers and toes.

Isn’t irrelevant a really big critter with a long nose?
Or is that an oliphaunt (he wrote while wearing a Lord of the Rings sweatshirt)?

I bet the defense would argue it’s relevant.

This is like hockey, on many levels. From Junior to the NHL, certain officials are starting to make the game about them. The same for baseball.

Is it an illegal shift to go from first to third gear while not using second? Just tach on 500 RPMs as a penalty.

Football is a wanna-be lawyer’s game. I’m surprised that they haven’t gotten around to a Supreme Court for appeals

It does seem to me that football has a lot of rules that keep the scoring down. Things like shifts or blockers being downfield too soon, picks, etc.

Pretty sure most of the flags are just so the zebras can feel relevant.

Hey, Bill — who’s your colorist? You better tell him the Referee is called “The White Hat” for a reason.

Do refs get paid based on the number of flags they throw?
