I say this as someone who likes the strip and has no stake in how it was pre barjas: we need less strips about the games themselves. I don’t mind some, it’s a sports strip but not EVERY game is key to Milfords future or the characters. And if it is it needs to feel it. The last part is an improvement over the previous artist so there’s hope there, and I sympathize with the limits of daily strip storytelling but with so little time and so many stories you have to justify the space a strip takes up.

In the last panel the two Milford players look like they’re siamese twins. And why does every single player wear gloves? Not realistic drawings or script.

When we last met Saturday, Milford was playing the undefeated Madison Capitals in a homecoming game. Now, we have our old friends, the New Thayer Terriers and are tied at 7. Did we fast forward a week? What happened to I-96? So many questions, so few answers.
