With all that fake stuff was the guy even a real man and not some highly soapisticated solid type hologram ? Did he try to offer the excuse that the stile jumping was fake too ?
Sounds like this guy was carrying what the CIA used to call “wallet litter” for an agent working undercover. Given what a bumbler Springwhatever was, he was probably working for CONTROL.
OK. I admit I had to look it up. Just to confirm what I took it to mean by context.
“Bubkes” is actually a Yiddish word, and in this context has the same meaning as “nothing”. I believe there are different spellings, but the context is the same.
As you can see, Sam has had about enough of Tracy.‘s ’let’s get with it’ attitude. He’s now amassed enough coin to go full P.I., since he…err…‘borrowed’ that impounded yacht from Evidence. Not to mention the arcane and only vaguely silly mystic arts he acquired during a grueling weekend in a motel in fabled Munsie! All of crime TREMBLES!
Well, most of their shoulders are shaking. I just kind of assumed it was with fear. My bad.
And don’t ASK what Sam’s version of ‘bupkis’ translates to. Mom would NEVER approve, and you KNOW Mom, once she gets a mad on! (brrrr!)

….maybe the guy’s been in contact with “Pockets”, that creepy kid from the Happy Days episode who convincingly produced faked I.D.‘s for the gang so’s they could enter a strip-joint…………..
1- DT: Still peeved at me for making you stay here and eat lunch from a vending machine, Sam? SAM:haughty sniff What gave you that impression, Tracy? My frown? My surly attitude? My attempt to give you the “silent treatment”?
2-: …I was going to drop all these business cards in the “WIN A FREE LUNCH” jars at several of my favorite lunch spots but you ruined that plan! DT: ? Why do you have business cards?
3- SAM: I run a Dating Service for gay men. My title is Purveyor In Men PartsDT: So…P.I.M.P.? SAM: Hmmmm. I never thought of that. I like it! Thanks Tracy! DT: Uhhhh…glad to help?
Today on Strange But Weird, a few words about Korean BBQ SPAM.

No, Nonononononono. SO really, very much ‘no’. The smell should have tipped me off. I can only think my smell sensors burned out the minute I popped the can.
I love that Sam is using Yiddish expressions—-they would confuse the average crook—-best code in the world.
Whenever James Cagney wanted to annoy his studio boss(Jack Warner) he’d speak to him in Yiddish.Warner was convinced Cagney was calling him vile names he couldn’t understand.
And since Cagney had a low opinion of him, maybe he was.

Good morning™, everyone!
A fake library card? This is getting serious! See, I knew he didn’t sound like a native speaker of English, but neither does Totten.
