Well, we are at least finding out a little about Sprengstoff. It’s still a mystery as to exactly what is going on with this bunch.
I like the viewing angle in the first panel a lot, and Charles is exploring all kinds of new facial expressions for Sam, as we see again in the second panel.
Can we have a few examples of what the “mostly” doesn’t include? A free-lance saboteur when he isn’t blowing up banks?
Do we have any explanation for his erratic behavior? Or the miracle murder?
And, shouldn’t this make Tracy start looking for enemies of the Totten Organization (who would furnish their contract saboteur with fake Totten credentials to help him sneak in an plant explosives) rather than looking more closely at Totten?
So it appears that the younger Totten is in on some planned sabotage, for unknown reasons but very possibly involving the clock tower. Did Totten Jr. send the person with the ring that killed Sprengstoff? (He knew Sprengstoff was being held at the transist authority, and was afraid he would talk.)
1- DT: First – if you got time to lean, you got time to clean. Grab some mops and…
2- SAM: Meh! We’re taking a much needed break from the stress of investigating the one-at-a-time murder that Homicide punted on. Again. sniff PWEW-EEEE!
3- LEE: Yeah! But it’s hard to chill with your co-workers around the water cooler when IT HAS DISAPPEARED! Our focus – until we solve it – will be entirely on the missing water cooler! Let’s take this conversation to THE BOX, TRACY!
DT: GULP! I…I…I… ALL RIGHT! I’LL SPILL! A big part of my bonus involved cutting expenses. That’s why you all share an ink pen and why there’s no water cooler. SAM: I KNEW IT! So that explains why there’s no toilet paper and consequently, therefore, as a result, sicut effectus, why my fingers stink!

Tracy looks like an Easter Island statue in p3. Makes sense, since this story is stuck in the dirt! LOL!

Er … wasn’t Tracy just at the Totten firm there in town along with Lizz just a few days ago?

Lee is correct in p3. Sam should have said “the majority were” instead of “mostly”, while sniffing the remnant capicola and salami off his fingers.

I like the “Hallway” conversation—-like they’re afraid there’s a listening device around and they’re picking a safe place.
Panel3 look at Tracy is “Gouldian”===he loved profiling “that chin” at odd angles.
So the “greenmarket renovation” may be a front for something else. But what?

It’s a pretty dumb international terrorist and saboteur who draws attention to himself by leaping over a transit turnstile.
