I have a friend who lets his beard grow long, and while it’s grayish white, he bleaches it to be totally white. He has a natural belly, and plays Santa all through December. This afternoon, he will be paraded through all the streets of our small town on the back of a fire truck, fire trucks and police cars, all lights flashing and sirens screaming.

Ladies, please don’t ever ask him “does this dress make me look fat?”. We know you don’t want an honest answer.

In all the strips that indicate how heavy Roger is—including one where the scale was sinking into the floor—he is seldom drawn that way. Such as today; you couldn’t really call him “skinny”, but he’s not fat, either.
