Ever take a walk and night and notice how much more noticeable nighttime scents are? Maybe that explains nocturnal hunters.

Swans are a work of art that will chase you and bite you.

After a snowfall, it’s amazing to see all the different foot tracks.

Absolutely :) Frequently fall under symphony status around here. Wildlife can be pretty noisy at night!

I love that comment. I love painting the beautiful landscapes, clouds, etc that Nature gives us every moment.

I’m not an eco-fanatic, but I do care about preserving some large areas with little or no development. I’d hate to live in a big city and get the feeling the whole world was being turned into pavement and skyscrapers. When you live in a smaller urban setting surrounded by farms and woods, where groundhogs, squirrels, ‘possums, raccoons and even deer sometimes show up in your back yard, you get the feeling it’s possible to have modern amenities and leave room for nature, too, especially when a short drive takes you to where you can see little else but trees, streams, ponds, and lakes all the way to the horizon.

Swans usually are gone in the wintertime. In Boston they take the swans out of the downtown lake when the cold weather starts
