Suddenly this morning (7 AM CET) I have a grey line at the centre bottom of the screen, about 3 cm long. I don’t see this on any other website or when my computer is on and the browser closed. Anyone else getting this?
When I was in grade school, we had to stay there until 3:30 P.M., and when I got home in the winter time it was dark around 4:00 P.M. The kids going there these days aren’t subjected to that.
They leave promptly too. In my day, when the bell rang, the teacher would take great pleasure in telling us it was for her benefit and not ours and make us remain in our seats for 5 minutes.
Ironically we walked home in those days too and so the self righteous teacher was doing us no favours.
Hey that was work 9 A.M. break time. The boss would come in, grab a coffee and join us. Check up on something, give you an assignment it’s 10 A.M. by the time 11:30 A.M. rolled around we’d go almost time for Lunch.
I still have ads. My big problem Only on this site is my cursor keeps disappearing, and I have ro tap the screen a bunch of times at point I want to be, to get it back
I am amazed he knows the analog clock! So many children nowadays cannot read it anymore -- and btw, 2nd grade is way to late to learn it. It should be taught by parents before 1st grade. It’s easy to teach… you just need to make your own clock face with colors assigned to day time: blue = morning, yellow = noon, green = afternoon, dark blue = evening…. then you put a short hour hand on that clock face and let the child move it – according to the out-of-reach real analog clock on the wall (best would be if you’re able to take the minute hand out in the beginning). Then when the child knows the hour time (also in between, like half past or a quarter till etc), then you introduce the minutes….. And when the child masters that, he gets his own watch!

Cal’s daydreaming is thorough. He hears and remembers little.

Calvin seems to be enjoying his day at school as much as when he was daydreaming about his propeller beanie.

Kids today get out of school by 3pm these days.
In my day it was 4pm.
They leave promptly too. In my day, when the bell rang, the teacher would take great pleasure in telling us it was for her benefit and not ours and make us remain in our seats for 5 minutes.

Happy days…

Don’t worry. You’ll know once your parents receive yet another letter regarding your lack of attention span!

I remember how sometimes things were like that at school, or when I would be at work, the latter especially if I was keeping busy with stuff to do.
