Well this play sounds interesting.

Made me laugh.

Only Dill.

Typecasting for Dill

Richard saved all the best lines for Dill,

So young, so much ambition.

So much potential.

Well, saves time making him a costume.

Only Dill could get excited about playing a germ!

Say what you want about Mrs. Bliss but her casting is spot on.

Alice and Nara are snowflakes outside of the play.

At least now we know Dill’s ethnicity.

The top of Dill’s head does look a little like a picture of the covid virus.

Let me preface this by saying I ADORE CDS so no dig at the strip. It’s just a victim of the same cultural zeitgeist. However, this one is a good mirror of what women are up against.

Notice how all the boys got real, active roles/characters, “jobs” (even a germ does something) and the girls are just the pretty scenery. That’s what we’ve been facing for centuries.

Marcus looks like he’s terrified by the task of becoming a snowman.

Dill is just excited to be promoted from last years role as a flu virus.

Alice as a flake and Dill as a germ? Sure seems like type casting to me.

Seeing as Dill is always drawn with a bit of a snot, it is typecasting…but he is happy about it.

Reminds me of one of my friends who is in acting as a career, and she is always in the background, or “gets a line” and she’s happy that she gets to work and has a steady income. BTW, for those who don’t know, if an actor “gets a line” that means they get to speak three words or more, they get paid more that just being in a crowd, thanks to their union.

I’m with Dill on this one. He got the best role! Who wants to be a stupid snowflake? What do they do, float around? Man with shovel? Shovels snowflakes? Boring! Ask any actor, and they will tell you a villain is a much more challenging and enjoyable role to play than a goodie two shoes.
