One thing I love about this strip; even with dated reruns, it IS a political strip, and a perfect forum to vent one’s feelings about the affairs of the present day. I’m also very grateful that most posters share my negativity concerning the Orange Baboon!
BTW, I have noticed recently that politics have slipped into other strips—with no complaints from posters!
Why in the world would he leave an intern with access to anything. Havoc’s freaking out because he knows he’ll be blamed – unless it magically goes well
Havoc strikes me as exactly the kind of guy I’d like to think is in the CIA — dedicated, realistic, flexible, and competent. And yeah, that edginess he brings to the game probably works well, too.

When did Duke become so responsible? I guess after he met someone who used to be like him.

What kind of girl would be interested in Jeff Redfern? A spy, maybe??

In my youth I used to assemble nuclear warheads for the U.S. Army, and to this day I still hate to hear anyone say “OOPS!”

To quote Bill Cosby from way before he became notorious, when he was one of the sharpest, cleanest stand-up comics working:
Man on operating table to his surgeon: “Why did you say ‘oops’? When I say ‘oops’ I know why I said ‘oops.’ Now why did you say ‘oops’?”
Wouldn’t be surprised if Trudeau took inspiration here, conscious or unconscious, from that piece.

Havoc – not Duke. Trudeau is a fantastic artist.

Well, as long as it takes out a Russian general or two.

When dealing with explosives, one seldom wishes to hear the word OOPS.

You just knew that was going to happen. Just cratered the 9th hole at the Kabul golf course. While Karzai was showing it to a Congressional committee.
