Hammie, Hammie, Hammie, of course you have to be able to fly first. Look at Sister Bertrille, did you ever see her wearing a coat? Of course not. That’s because SHE could fly.

Mom should have said: Think of this as your super suit! Would Tony Stark go on a mission without his armor? Would Cap go on a mission without wearing his red, white, and blues?

Being team DC, I’d like to point out that neither the Joker nor Catwoman can fly, but both have striking appearances (in different ways!)

Now, Hamish – as we all know, jackets are something little boys wear when their mothers are cold.

Wasn’t Captain American frozen in the Arctic for years and years? Wouldn’t think anywhere would be too warm for him after that.
