Unlikely.

They will see when they become butterflies.

Owls, if you accept “wise” and “intelligent” are close enough.

Well, soon you will be a butterfly or a moth, and you can fly over to the other trees and find out.

There’s no intelligence in this tree. To quote a famous man, “The ability to speak does not make you intelligent”.

If you hang out on that leaf too long, you’ll end up as food, so don’t make any long term plans.

If it’s really intelligent, it’ll likely avoid you.

I wonder if there is intelligent life on THIS planet.

There wouldn’t be any on that tree if this weren’t a comic strip.

I don’t see any other trees.

Being a native Floridian I often wonder that about other states.

Asking questions doesn’t equate to being “intelligent”. No doubt that his companion on the leaf is as stupid as he is.

A rare “Herman” without Herman…or any human.

Yes, and they are eating our leaves. :)

We are the only intelligent species in the Milky Way according to Professor Brian Cox but we are on our way to becoming a planetary species and perhaps in some distant future a star faring one.

Would be better if he (she?) was talking to the right end.

Maybe related to the Oglaroonians.
