Every outdoors shot since flippin’ Veterans Day has shown it snowing softballs. This will continue until at least Valentine’s Day. So, the question should solve itself: There’s been no school, because there’s 150 feet of snow on the ground, with another foot added every day. And there are no children, due to the widespread famine and rampant cannibalism. The drivers may be forced to eat Lena’s brownies.

Where were these progressive drivers when I was going to school?

Crank must not be aware of “compulsory school attendance” laws.

There is a bus company that is local where I live and they also have a driver shortage. What the company is doing now is asking parents to drive their kids to school in certain areas where the driver shortage is. In this strip, naturally, the poll is going to be the obvious (that there shouldn’t be school).

somehow, I don’t think that’s a good idea… cause when I was going to school. my answer would’ve been a no. :j

There’s one good thing about this storyline and that is it explains why the school district hasn’t fired Ed multiple times over…there’s no one to replace him.

I’ve been driving for over 12 years. When I took my state training, they said that only a few years earlier, some southern states allowed high school seniors to drive the buses!

So it’s snowing, and there’s several inches on the ground. They didn’t have a snow day?

Wouldn’t it alleviate some of the problem if Ed actually picked kids up in his bus?
