My wife is a very good co-pilot and navigator. However, there are sometimes when I am driving along when she’ll scream “WATCH, WATCH, WATCH.” to distract me from the same danger I am seeing. I do wish she’d be more specific.
That could have been me and my late husband. Our kids learned the words a-hole and d***head from him at a very early age while sitting in the car’s back seat.
I remember a similar cartoon in the New Yorker. The mechanic says, “ we found the source of that hissing sound. It’s your mother in law in the back seat.”

You can tell this is a comic strip because a real mechanic would have charged money.

Close to the truth. My sister-in-law won’t ride with my 89 year old brother. Neither will I. Just hope he doesn’t injure an innocent person.

Well, the loud driving noises I hear come from my home on the range.
Thankfully, the putting is still rather quiet.

I’ve seen a different version of this – “The grinding sound is coming from your Manheim Steamrollers CD.”

New shocks or struts and squirt some WD 40 in her mouth to quiet the chattering.

So, the grinding is caused by the loose nut behind the wheel?
