My cat only goes out on our deck which is second level and the fence posts are too thin for him to get through. My husband put up some wood fencing around the top so if he does jump up, he won’t fall. There are walls in between our neighbors’ for privacy. In warmer weather, my cat ‘hunts’ anoles (the little lizards). He’s caught several and brought a few inside, to my horror! He tore the tail off one of them! I try to discourage it, by not letting him out on the nice days, or at least when my husband is home, so he can deal with it. He also catches palmetto bugs, when they’re “in season”. They’re big and he’ll notice them before we do.
We have a neighborhood stray that we feed and she thanks us with dead (sometimes decapitated) mice. I told her that if she wants to say thank you, a Hallmark card would be sufficient.

Make sure it’s not one of those frozen lizards that fall out of the tree, they come back to life.

Clearly, that animal isn’t dead. I don’t see any X’s drawn for eyes.

Please, Dad! I’d rather kill it myself.

SeÑior Carrillo draws such adorable cats, just like the women and girls that he draws.

My cats would know what to do with a dead animal, they would play with it and bat it around the house, generally around 3 a.m.
