Boy, that’s a great catch phrase: “Let the games begin!” Where have I heard that before?

How about:" The Moon was out last night…and thrown in jail! I’m Jackie A$$, let the games begin!"

I’m pretty sure that normal dialog would simply be “… filling in for Marty Moon.” No adverb required. If an adverb were desired it should be temporarily rather than indefinitely since it was specifically a two week suspension. Indefinite suggests no one has a clue when Marty will be back, and if the station manager plans to boot Marty you don’t even need to do the filling in line, you just introduce yourself as Jackie Carter.

I’m surprised they’d let a woman call the boys’ game by herself. Also surprised there were no games before New Year’s. So who are the visitors? From P3, looks like game has already begun, Milford won the tip and there’s an initial mismatch.
