One of my favorites is that The Blackhawks, a strip designed to show international cooperation against the Axis, used a bucktoothed Chinese character to represent Asia.

I know comics – going way back – are largely about fantasy, etc…but the He-She character might be as weird as it gets. EsPESHially being drawn in the 40’s???

He-She……kind of fits in today……..holy crap!!

I started wondering about male parts being split lengthwise, then I decided to try to NOT think about that.

There have always been and will always be cross dressers and female, and male, impersonators. There will always be gender dysphoria. There are — but VERY rarely — true hermaphrodites. But, contrary to fashionable thoughts and wishes, one cannot change one’s sex / gender at will.

Wonderfully confusing.

This reminds me of the sideshow 1/2 man 1/2 woman that seems to have been a staple of carnivals. Never saw one myself (but by the time I came along, the sideshow was all but gone.)

He/She must’ve had a very strange walk. And which half would’ve won the “how to pee” battle? Stand or sit, stand or sit, stand or sit…uh oh. Too late…
