ahh sweet ol’ days

You know, these days Microsoft Edge is actually a pretty good browser. I even use it on my Linux box. I just wish they wouldn’t push the AI stuff in it so hard and try to force you to use Edge for things like Outlook links.

Well, that didn’t last.

I was already using Firefox, by then.

Hey! I’m still using Firefox, right now!

Windows was written in Pascal? That’s a surprise.

Oh gosh, I’m old enough to remember Netscape!

Is life without Netscape really so bad? I for one am perfectly fine with free browsers.

It’s pretty weird. While I was reading this, my Firefox browser crashed. Seriously.

DOS ain’t done ‘til Lotus won’t run.

I might be using Edge if it weren’t for the “hard sell.” It has now become worthwhile to go through all the effort not to have it take over as your default browser.

I already get the window that says “You need to complete your windows setup.” even though I did that more than a year ago. Naturally, everything is pre-loaded to what Microsoft thinks you need.

I soon expect that as soon as I boot up I get a message, “Click here to continue and make your default browser Edge and Bing your search engine.” There will be no opt out button.

Windows XP, Windows NT and Windows 2000 still rock! But I’m a Linux person – and furious I can’t wear my Linux Red Hat because of the highjack :( Anyone interested, Linux Mint is a pretty good distro. And most distros can be modified to look and feel like Windows…….

Once you go Mac, you never go back.

I quit Microsoft when I couldn’t upgrade my windows 10 computer. Enough is enough

Really need to use Gopher or Archie and then do a FTP.

I loved Netscape!…and Firefox…I currently use Chrome and Opera, but have also tried Brave. Not using Bing or Edge, even tho they are installed on my Windows 10 pc.

SIgh. Back when the world and its source code seemed saner somehow…
