I once yanked my little sister back from walking out in front of a moving car. Because of it, she put her foot down wrong and sprained her ankle badly enough to have to go to Emergency. Even though I got lots of praise, I felt bad about her ankleā¦
I had to do that once, grabbed a girlās arm [I was walking with] before she stepped out in front of a car. It was on a college campus so a slower moving car. She was surprised and thankful when I pulled her back.
As iāve gotten older Iāve learned that patience and giving myself enough time, eliminates the anger and frustration. Now those people driving with burned out tail, or brake, lights and who donāt have blinker fluid-hope karma gets you.
Is it my imagination, or have cars at stoplights always left 2-3 cars lengths between them and the car in front of them? Iāve noticed this in the past 4 or so years. I used to think it was the drivers thinking they needed to do āsocial distancingā between their cars, as they had to do in person. When I had my MINI Cooper, I would often pull into the space between the two cars, with plenty of room to spare. I did this especially on one street which was short, and with all that empty space, other cars wouldnāt be able to get into the turn lane for 2 or 3 changes of the traffic light.
