Cool it, Weed! Give him time—and space.

This takes time. When It ended with a girlfriend of five years, I wanted to die. It took several years to get over it, but looking back, it was for the best.

Mike, haven’t you realized that everyone in your strip looks like someone else?

Come on Mike, she was a summer fling who somehow stuck around till winter. Then she was a high school sweetheart who somehow stuck around after graduation. Years and years of sticking around past the relationship’s natural endpoint. The only alternative to letting someone go once the relationship has run its course is to exert way too much effort to maintain an increasingly superficial connection, and growing more and more bitter as you realize that nothing you can do can reverse the diminishing returns.

Gotta admit, after the years of treating her as a 0, I’m glad to see him miserable..

I’ve left and I’ve been left. Being the “leaver” is definitely better but, in any case, life goes on. If it’s meant to be, it will last. If it isn’t, it won’t. Dang, am I seriously profound or what?

Get him drunk and take him to a strip joint. He’ll be fine.

I have found, after many years of practice, that men tend to chose a woman who looks almost exactly like their spouse. They also almost always marry a woman that resembles their sister, if they have one, or their previous wife. Women, on the other hand, tend to find someone totally different from their significant other. Why is that?

    Ah…ah…ah…ah…ah…ah…

    One month ago today

I was happy as a lark

But now I go for walks

To the movies, maybe to the park

I have a seat on the same old bench

To watch the children play, huh

You know tomorrow is their future

But for me just another day

They all gather ’round me, huh

They seem to know my name

We laugh, tell a few jokes

But it still doesn’t ease my pain

    I know I can’t hide from a memory

Though day after day I’ve tried

I keep sayin’ she’ll be back

    But today again I’ve lied

Oh, I see her face everywhere I go

On the street and even at the picture show

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her

Oh, I hear her voice as the cold winds blow

In the sweet music on my radio

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her

    Why, oh, why

Did she have to leave and go away?

    Oh…oh…oh…oh…oh…

I’ve been used to havin’ someone to lean on

And I’m lost, baby, I’m lost

Oh, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her [Tell me have you seen her]

Oh, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her [Tell me have you seen her]

Oh, she left her kiss upon my lips

But left that break within my heart

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her

Oh, I see her hand reaching out to me

Only she can set me free

    Have you seen her

Tell me have you seen her

    Why, oh, why

Did she have to leave and go away

    Oh…oh…oh…oh…oh…

I’ve been used to havin’ someone to lean on

And I’m lost, baby, I’m lost

Oh, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

    Have you

Weed isn’t exactly an authority on romance…he didn’t find a girl until the last year of the strip
